Solder Glass

So called Solder Glass serves the purpose to produce glass-to-glass sealings and glass-to-metal or ceramic sealings.

Solder Glass is used where direct sealing is not possible for technical reasons.

It is applied in form of a powder with a grain size minor than 65 µm which is converted into a paste or suspension using an evaporating liquid. The usage of the pure powder is possible as well.

It can be applied in form of a lane, with serigraphy, by spraying or as powder particles.

Solder Glass with its very low softening temperature of only 380 °C avoids a deformation during the thermal processing and assures a firm and, if necessary, vacuum-tight connection.

TELUX produces glass solder with various thermal coefficients of expansion. It is used for solar cells, thermal panes and cathode ray tubes.

Frit Glass

TELUX offers fritted borosilicate glass which is produced mostly in wet methods. It is used as primary product, as extender and as additive in the medical field, in the chemical industry and in the steel- and construction industry.
